10 WAYS TO LOVE YOURSELF

1. BE ALONE WITH YOURSELF.

How can you understand a person if you haven’t spent some time with them?

The answer is you can’t.

Unless you take yourself out on dates, love yourself right, enjoy your own company and think while taking a shower. Yes. I said it, don’t sing. Think.

Learn how to be alone and love it. We Learn to listen to our voices all the time but we don’t know how to really listen.

Listen to yourself, Laugh at your own jokes, wake up with a smile on your face and acknowledge what you’re truly feeling.

Being alone without feeling lonely is one of the best feelings one can experience.

2. DON’T DISTRACT YOURSELF WITH TEMPORARY HAPPINESS.

Yes, you know what I am talking about.

Those three hours you spend shopping or finishing 21 episodes on Netflix every night or the game that got you addicted on your phone?  Isn’t good.  All that is some crap we make ourselves believe that makes us happy but it actually only gets our minds off certain things we are trying to ignore. So be fearless and face them!

3. FEED YOURSELF. AND I DON’T MEAN FOOD.

Feeding ones’ soul can have different meanings from a person to another.

Some people like to pray, others like to meditate and some just like to sit in a comfortable, silent place listening to music or reading a book with no one disturbing them.

Choose what fills your soul and make a routine out of it.

4. BECOME AWARE OF YOUR THOUGHTS.

Knowing what is going on inside your mind, knowing what you are feeling and writing down your thoughts is crucial to becoming a mentally strong person.

Embrace your feelings. when you are sad, be sad. Fill your room with sadness, eat ice cream and marshmallows and junk food while watching shitty romantic movies that will only make you cry more, spend maximum three days being sad about whatever you’re feeling sad about then get out of bed, dress up and show up.

Embrace your thoughts and feelings, turn them into words and speak up. Just don’t let them go into the unconscious tunnel and haunt you down.

5. TALK TO YOURSELF.

No, it’s not only what crazy people do. It’s actually a sign of sanity.

Compliment yourself every day, make decisions by having conversations with yourself, out loud,  motivate yourself every day to get out of bed, to eat healthy food and to finish whatever you have been procrastinating.

Do that on a daily basis until it becomes a normal habit of yours, don’t be ashamed, everyone does it!

6. STOP COMPARING.

No one would want to spend the rest of their lives comparing themselves to others without realizing that all of us go through the exact same shit in life.

Stop wasting your time with useless comparison and look at everything you have accomplished in your life, write down a list of the traits that make you a great person and read them twice a day.

Comparison is a really bad habit if you didn’t learn how to stop it, it will only grow bigger and bigger and ruin your everyday thoughts if you didn’t know how to control it by solving inner insecurities and gain more confidence because you’re hella CUTE and WORTH IT!!!

7. EXPRESS YOURSELF.

Stop hiding your feelings from everyone and being afraid that they might misunderstand you.

Who cares if they did?

You have to reach a point in life where you no longer give a damn about what people think about you and start talking about how you feel and what you are thinking of.

When something is bothering you, speak up, tell people how you truly feel about them, without being rude, choose your words wisely even if honesty might hurt people. Better to hurt them with the truth than to comfort them with a lie.

Be humble and kind but honest and bold at the same time.

8. KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN CHARGE.

Know that this is your life and you are responsible for whatever decision you make, don’t create a false self-image to live up to, be passionate about the things that really matter to you and don’t make other people affect your way of thinking and your decisions.

We know that when something bad occurs, humans tend to blame it on anything instead of just accepting that sometimes shit happens in life. Yeah. Don’t be like that.

Be responsible and set some realistic expectations for yourself, it’s okay if something went wrong. Go easy on yourself, we all make horrible mistakes but don’t waste your time worrying.

Life is too short to be constantly worrying about others.

 9. BE A BETTER VERSION OF YOURSELF.

Discover yourself, know who you are and be kind to people.

Being a better person doesn’t necessarily mean becoming a different person, you just have to change certain things about yourself such as to not always be grumpy and to change those bad habits that people you care about don’t like in you.

Become someone you’ve always dreamt of being.

Forgive people and let go of the past, focus only on yourself even if it sounds too selfish.

Take classes, pick a hobby and don’t waste your time and energy on people who aren’t worth it.

10.LIVE THE HEALTHY LIFE YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED.

Sports, healthy food and sleeping are vital.

At first, it’s going to be difficult, believe me. I’ve been there but when you get used to it you will not be able to stop this lifestyle.

Wake up early in the morning, play some positive music while getting ready, grab something to eat while you’re on your way. Eat salad, daily. Eat moderately. But most importantly, Live your life. Love your life.

With Love,

Judy.
